Joyride launched SuperChamps, a superhero-athlete franchise built on blockchain, where digital characters travel across worlds—from tennis arenas in Racket Rampage to 3D battle royale combat in Bullet League. As Art Director, I oversaw all franchise touchpoints—from a Unity-driven gameplay to a cinematic pipeline for social content.

Project Overview Reel

Each character uses a universal rig and modular system, making them retexturable and theme-flexible. From "Zombie” to "Ice Ninja" we could quickly remix gear and skins—head, body, shoes, accessories—allowing for faster seasonal drops and long-term merchandising potential.
SuperChamps environments are built in Unity to create a connected universe across games. From Zomberg’s eerie arena in Racket Rampage to lava, snow, and jungle biomes in Bullet League, our 3D characters can exist and move seamlessly between worlds.
We launched weekly videos starring Kigu and friends, using a Maya–Redshift pipeline and a universal rig that switches between low and high poly models. Inspired by The Lego Movie, our 2D-on-3D animation style helped grow the channel to 300K+ followers in under six months.
We also partnered with an external studio to produce the SuperChamps trailer, featuring our quirky cast battling it out with custom rackets—frying pans, axes, even skull-studded antiques. Each character competes to become the best in the SuperChamps universe—just like all of us, in our own way.
